Any progress in the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases such as viral hepatitis, autoimmune hepatitis, fatty liver disease and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), alcoholic liver disease as well as liver cancer, is an important step towards improving the prognosis and quality of life of patients affected by these diseases.
